Sophia J Keller
Sophia was born at via c-section at 35 weeks due to almost no amniotic fluid and failing kidney. Sophia is diagnosed with having Vacterl Syndrome, She does not have all the conditions which fall under having this syndrome though, the Dr's said you need to have at least 3 of the conditions. When Sophia was born she was barely breathing and was placed on a ventilator. She also is having some bowel issues and urinary issues and recently is having heart PVC's. She was born with one kidney, the kidney she has is cystic and isn't functioning. She has underwent 16 surgeries already and will need more including a kidney transplant down the line. She currently receives dialysis and has been in the hospital since birth. Sophia's parents were advised it was BEST to abort Sophia, the dr's said she would die in utero.. they said IF she made it to be born that Sophia would have ZERO lung function, after she was born they were told to prepare for a funeral... Sophia has PROVED that she is NOT a statistic and that GOD has BIG plans for her ♥ With our faith in God and prayer... we know it will all be OWL right!
Sophia's parents were so excited to be expecting a daughter, they had lost twin boys in August 2011 due to Mom's water breaking and delivering prematurely at 20 weeks... so this makes Sophia a little miracle for them. The Dr's say that it will be many months or ever a year before she will be able to get a transplant and Sophia will in the hospital for quite a long time. There is a lot of expenses that will need to be covered, to donate please do at http://www.gofundme.com/2867r0 Mostly all that is needed is PRAYERS!
